Since January 2009, every owner or landlord of a building has been required under the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) prepared prior to any sale of the building or lease to a new tenant.

Building Energy Survey

We undertake energy surveys for existing properties to identify the energy efficiency of the building fabric and installed services. Surveys vary in length depending on the scale of the building, and will usually be carried out in normal working hours. Surveys are non-invasive and are as unobtrusive as possible.

EPC Preparation

Once the site energy efficiency data has been collected it is used to build an energy model in Government issued and approved software. The software generates the EPC documentation that provides prospective new owners and tenants with an independent assessment of a buildings energy efficiency.

Recommendation Report

Alongside the EPC a separate Recommendation Report is issued that provides further information on the potential improvements that could be made to the energy efficiency of the building fabric and installed services.
